Salmon Pies! Yes Pies!

We made Salmon pies! Super easy solution for dinner and honestly it taste amazing! from our Kitchen to yours Eddie & Eli from Snappers Fish Market.



Ingredients for 1 pie is as follows:

- 2 pie shells one for the bottom and one on top

- 1 egg

- 1/2 a cup of cooking cream

- 2 leeks

- 1 onion or 2 green onion

- 2 big spoon olive oil

- 3 to 4 fresh thyme stems or a pinch of dried

- 1/2 teaspoon pepper

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 2 tablespoon all purpose seasoning no MSG better for you

- 3 cups of Atlantic diced salmon

- 1/2 cup of cheese mix so shredded Parmesan and Swiss Gruyère



Instructions:

  1. First add the olive oil in a pot at medium heat let it heat a bit then pour diced leeks , and onions in cook until soft .

  2. Add the salmon and continue cooking until no longer wet keep stirring. Pour into pie shell add mixed cream and egg mix then add cheese mix on top .

  3. Add the other shell on top and make a few markings for the steam to come out while cooking .

  4. Put our shell together with wet fingers then use a fork to mark all around to ensure shells stuck together.

  5. Preheat oven to 375 C cook middle rack for 15 minutes or until the crust is golden .

  6. You can add a few slices of diced smoke salmon if you want a smoke flavour to the pie I just didn’t have any but normally I put some in


Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes then Bon appetit 😋
